Basic Uthan Avam Gramin Sewa Sansthan (BUAGSS) came into existence on 1st January 2005. The organization is setup by a group of likeminded people of the district with the larger objective of community development. It was registered on 28 December 2005. Organization’s registered office is situated in Banikodar block of Barabanki district.
The evolution of BUAGSS is based on the past experiences of its Founder President Mr Ratnesh Kumar. In the past the social and economic condition of his family was very poor. Being a farmer by profession Mr Ratnesh Kumar had experienced various odd Jobs in his young age for survival. It’s his struggle to survive & critical phase of his life that had come up as a light for thousands of families in various areas of rural & urban Barabanki. The organization is committed to make meaningful social change in the lives of underprivileged. Mr Ratnesh Kumar, President of BUAGSS initiated his work with educating children and youth of his village Chhandwal. However, he was able to envisioned an organisation, which would work for the all round development of the underprivileged families or families in crises. With the hope that community’s participation would bring the change in our village he had started “CHILD FRIENDLY SCHOOL” for children in Chhandwal in the year 2005. His belief’s resulted; he got tremendous support from all the communities and every year he is able to serve more than 250 students in the school. The education in this school is totally free. The infrastructure available in the school is result of community participation. Several children studied from this school had currently capable to earn bread n butter for his family in a respected manner.
As the Founder President of Basic Uthan Evam Gramin Sewa Sansthan (BUGSS) Mr Ratnesh Kumar has vast experience on issues related to child welfare, adult Literacy, reunification of elderly people, etc. In the past he had worked as the Key Advisor in Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan & State Literacy Mission Authority (SLMA) with Education Directorate & UP Social Welfare Board, UP. He had developed the concept of “Residential Educational Camps for Girls”, the project was supported by UNICEF by the name of “PAHLA KADAM” in Barabanki.
